InkSpec, a viscosity control specialist company from Canada, has developed a unique system to meet the needs from gravure and flexo.
This revolucionary system brings new features, such as a sensor without any moving parts assembled in stainless stell that has little maintanace associated to it due to its superior desing and advanced technology that were used during the development.
The biggest innovation in the system is it´s exclusive viscosity sensor. IIS sensor is equiped with a micro-vibrating sensor that ressoantes inside the ink and allows fluid viscosity measurament. The sensor compensates for thixotropy as well as ink movement.
Comparing to the traditional falling ball system, IIS does not require to be cleaned after each reading, which results in a solvent cost reduction and increased reading accuracy. The system also measures the dinamic viscosity, instead of static, since it is installed directly on the ink line. No additional tanks or hoses are necessary.
